Douglas E. Roberts, MD
Dr. Roberts was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. He graduated summa cum laude from Mercer University, and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Roberts is board certified in Urgent Care Medicine.
Dr. Roberts was honorably discharged from the US Army as a Major, after working in emergency room medicine and serving as the Chief of Outpatient Clinic at Fort Jackson. He has served the Chapin Community for the last 15 years in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and as the team physician for Chapin High School. He is also active in church and has served on mission trips to Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua and Egypt. Dr. Roberts’ special interests are in nutrition, the prevention of disease, hormone therapy, and he is open to complementary and alternative medicine. Outside of the office setting, Dr. Roberts enjoys playing softball, racquetball, watching kids’ team sports, and raising backyard chickens. He is married and has 5 children.
