Surb
S. Guram, M.D.
Dr. Guram is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Guram, along with Dr. Levinson, founded SC Internal Medicine in 1986. His areas of medical interests include diagnostic and preventative medicine, maintenance of good cardiovascular health, diabetes mellitus, lipid disorders and nutrition.
An avid gardener, Dr. Guram enjoys horticulture, spending time with his family and playing golf.

Benjamin J.
Levinson, M.D.
Dr. Levinson is originally from West Columbia, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Levinson completed his residency at Dorn VA/Richland Memorial Hospital, where he was chief resident. He is former chief of medicine at Lexington Medical Center and currently serves as Medical Director of a local hospice, as well as a longtime team physician of Brookland-Cayce High School. Dr. Levinson, along with Dr. Guram, founded SC Internal Medicine in 1986. Dr. Levinson is board certified in Internal Medicine and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Joseph N.
Gabriel, M.D.
Dr. Gabriel is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate degree from Beloit College and attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Gabriel moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1999 where he completed his residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He has been in practice at SC Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine since 2002. Dr. Gabriel is board certified and is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. His areas of medical expertise include sleep issues and diabetic care. He believes in comprehensive medical care with particular emphasis on lifestyle changes.
Dr. Gabriel enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his wife and four children.

C. Honig, M.D.
Dr. Honig is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and did his residency at Richland Memorial Hospital. Dr. Honig has been practicing medicine in Lexington County for 22 years and joined SC Internal Medicine in January 2005. Dr. Honig is former Vice Chairman of the Physician's Assistant Committee for the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners and former Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Lexington Medical Center. |

Carlotta
M. Davis, APRN, CDE
Nurse Practitioner Carlotta Davis is originally from Miami, Florida and moved to South Carolina in 1983. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with her Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and began working as a Registered Nurse at Lexington Medical Center. Carlotta completed her Master of Science degree in 1994 at the University of South Carolina focusing on Adult and Mental Health, and then later received her Nurse Practitioner Certification in 1999. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is also a Certified Diabetic Educator. Carlotta has been at SC Internal Medicine since January 2005. Her special medical interests are diabetes and preventative medicine; she has been instrumental in developing SC Internal Medicine's Diabetes Management Program.
Carlotta resides in Lexington, SC with her husband and three children. When she is not working, Carlotta enjoys spending time with her family, the University of South Carolina football and baseball teams, mountain biking and gourmet cooking.

Padgett, APRN, FNP
Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Padgett is a native of Ninety-Six, South Carolina. She received her cum laude Bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Presbyterian College in 2002, and her cum laude Bachelor's degree from the nursing program at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2003. She is also board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jennifer began working at SC Internal Medicine as a family nurse practitioner upon receiving her Master's degree in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in June 2006. In addition to seeing patients who present with acute and chronic illnesses, Jennifer also has a special interest in urodynamic and allergy testing. |

Wanda O. Copeland, APRN, FNP
Nurse Practitioner Wanda Copeland is originally from St. Matthews, South Carolina. She received her Bachelors of Science and Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. She has been in practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1990, and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Wanda joined SC Internal Medicine in April 2011. Her special interests are Women's Health and the prevention of diseases. She enjoys patient teaching so that clients can have better knowledge and control of their health.
Wanda's hobbies include reading, exercising and most outdoor activities. She also enjoys being a Sunday School teacher for the last 10 years. Wanda is married and has two daughters.

Nurse Practitioner Susan Griffin is originally from Bennington, Vermont. She received her nursing diploma from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy, New York, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the State University of New York in Utica, New York, and her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Nebraska. Susan moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1991 and received her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of South Carolina on 1994. She is board certified and specializes in the care of diabetic patients. |
